In honor of the 80th anniversary of D-Day watch

Operation Overlord: OSS and the Battle for France

June 6th will mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day. We highly recommend watching the OSS Society’s award-winning documentary Operation Overlord: OSS and the Battle for France in honor of the day.

The documentary tells the story of American and Allied special forces whose daring exploits changed the course of World War II. It was written and directed by Carl Colby, whose father, William E. Colby, jumped into France after D-Day as a member of the legendary OSS Jedburghs and later served as CIA director. The OSS was the WWII predecessor to the C.I.A., the U.S. Special Operation’s Command, and the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research.
