Share your stories, photos, and memories to help bring USAR and ARNG Special Forces history to life.

MSG (Ret.) Matt Dorn, who served with the 1st and 20th Special Forces Groups, is working on a project to document the history of USAR/ARNG Special Forces units—an area that hasn’t been well recorded. Working on his own, he’s already gathered between 500 and 1,000 original documents, along with a range of newspaper and periodical articles. He will be building a website to document each group (visit our website to view an example).

But as he sees it, something important is still missing: “personality.” The dates and facts are there, but the real story lives in the experiences of the men who were part of it.

That’s where he could use your help.
