Beret Flash Description: On a shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width overall, divided diagonally scarlet over blue from upper left to lower right, a white diagonal band from upper left to lower right, all edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) white border. The Flash was originally approved on 5 Jan 1967. It was amended on 12 Feb 1991 to revise the description.
On a green oval-shaped embroidered item 1 3/8 inches (3.49cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in width edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) yellow border; three conjoined diagonal bands from upper left to lower right, scarlet over white over blue. The Background Trimming was originally approved 1 Nov 1977. It was amended on 12 Feb 1991 to revise the description.
