Robert Richmond- Photos

Snowball fight with some of the Afghan workers and their kids.

Typical View from the gun while moving through tight villages
while on patrol in Paktia province.

I was on foot patrol with the first battalion of the Afghan National Army (BANA)A show of force as we just introduced the first Army to a forward operational area, town of Orgun, Paktia Province. Although US forces normally wore dessert Camy's I  wore Standard BDUS since we issued those to the Afghanis and I was only one of two American's there. I didn't want to be sniper bait.

Re-supply camp Harriman, Orgun, Paktia province.

A typical Cashe recovery. We averaged one or two such recoveries per week.

I was the unidentified soldier.
