Chapter 78's Christmas party on December 2nd at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club, Newport Beach was graciously hosted by member and vice president Richard Simonian .All enjoyed a great buffet and an open bar. Chapter SF member for the year 2006 Jack Eckles was recognized as was Tuong V. Lau for the Vietnamese Lost Commandos represented in the chapter membership. Additional awards presented were the Bitchin Dude awards to Bob Crebbs and Al Watts; BMF 3 rd Order to Mark Miller for being ejected from his Anger Management class; BMF 2 nd Order went to Rob Richmond for re-enlisting to go back to the Middle East and BMF 1 st Order for Jack Eckles participation in a VBIED in Bagdad. He survived his underpants did not. Members and guests were provided a rare treat with Magician Chuck Russell who amazed everyone who found his playing cards in their secured wallets. .New chapter member during the last quarter Dave Thomas was recognized and warmly welcomed. Dave was kind enough to supply everyone in attendance a Special Forces/No Surrender T- Shirt. Dave operates sales of Special Forces gear at www.specialforces.com.

Robert Foley (secretary) on a business trip to Birmingham , AL in November went by 20 th Group HQ to present a 20 th Group 1/6 SF figure to his former unit. After running into the retired Group SGM Bruce Williams, Robert found out about and attended a C/2/20 reunion the next day in Columbus, MS . He had a great time seeing old team mates from a long time ago.

On December 9 th Chapter 78 members Ramon Rodriguez (president), Richard Simonian (vice president), Terry Cagnolatti (treasurer), Jim Duffy (asst. vice president) and Brad Welker (asst. treasurer) toured the USS Mobile Bay in San Diego . The USS Mobile Bay is an Aegis Guided Missle Cruiser commanded by Captain Thomas Carney. The tour included briefings on the ship's special characteristics in propulsion, sensors, radar, weapons and command & control.
